Words of Wisdom!

Post by Don on October 11 2018

I came across this quote a few or so days ago. It stuck out to me because of how true it is for some people and also because of the timing of seeing this quote due to a recent happening.

Times are challenging and difficult. For some, it's easier. Regardless, we all have demons we have to deal with. For some if not dealt with, the life force within us dies. Our Light starts to diminish, if not already diminished. The dark times have a way of teaching us to seek help and to turn to the light.

When we look around and observe why this happens to us/people, it usually is because of what other people do/say to us/people. For a lot it's worse because some of those people are really close to us. But ultimately, it's what and how we do/say to ourselves when things happen.

I know it is easier said than done, believe me, but we must try our best to not let that spark die within us regardless of our circumstances, etc. We should value other people regardless of their "label", status in life, beliefs, etc. But MORE importantly, we must value ourselves regardless of what the world "thinks" of us. Not in a conceit or narcissistic way, but in a healthy, natural way as it was intended to be.

If you or anyone is struggling with any form of addiction or/and suicide, there is help out there. There are people who love, care and VALUE you, even if you don't value yourself. They care more than you think they do, even strangers. In most cases, the best help comes from strangers.

If you need any help, please call one of the numbers below, even if it's just to talk. If you need anyone to talk to and not sure, you may email me here. I will take the time to help if I can because you're important/valued.

There is hope. You are not alone. You are valued.

"Do not go gentle into that good night.. Rage rage against the dying of the Light." - A poem by Dylan Thomas (The Light is the divine spark within you.)
